WW1 battlefield tours

Bespoke group trips to France and Belgium

Welcome to WW1 Battlefield Tours.

Visit the many sites that occupy the area around the former WW1 western Front.

Centred largely around the battlefields of The Somme and Ypres, you’ll hear the history of the area with many individual stories.

It will be an informative, enriching and moving experience.

The Canadian National Vimy Memorial

The Canadian National Vimy Memorial is a war memorial site in France dedicated to the memory of Canadian Expeditionary Force members killed during the First World War. It also serves as the place of commemoration for Canadian soldiers of the First World War killed or presumed dead in France who have no known grave.

The Thiepval memorial

The Thiepval Memorial to the Missing of the Somme is a war memorial to 72,337 missing British and South African servicemen who died in the Battles of the Somme.

Menin Gate

Every evening at 8pm, buglers from the Last Post Association close the road which passes under the memorial and sound the "Last Post". Except for the occupation by the Germans in World War II, this ceremony has been carried on uninterrupted since 2 July 1928
